Adler Skywatch Series
Connecting to the universe—and each other—under the sky we all share.
This is the Adler Planetarium’s mission statement and something I work tirelessly to achieve with my content. Built upon blogs written by our astronomers, my videos have made the Adler Skywatch series the first completely omni-channel experience on the Adler’s digital channels. Each video educates viewers with digestible bits of information, engaging astronomy nerds and novices alike!

Solar Eclipse Blitz
Two solar eclipses graced our skies between October 2023 and April 2024. This was an extremely rare occurrence that, of course, largely drove the Adler’s social strategy at the time.
This is an example of an “edu-tainment” content which demonstrates what occurs during the solar eclipse, in a fun and memorable way!
(And yes, that is me “acting” as the Sun.)

Wonder Women In STEAM
One of the Adler Planetarium's goals is to cast astronomy as the story of humanity—which is why I created the digital series Wonder Women In STEAM. My intention with this series was to expand upon the typical displays of representation online that often only share stories of certain folks only during honorary months. As a woman of color, I felt this practice to be tokenizing (albeit stemming from the right place).
To create the change I hoped to see in the industry, I began creating videos of women in science from all backgrounds and sharing them on a consistent schedule. The short duration and quick pace provides bite-size pieces of inspiration from these incredible humans.

2.2 Million Views and Counting!
This TikTok highlighting a seemingly simply book quickly became the Adler's most viral video, with over 2 million views.
When I created this video, my editing skills were still developing, but fans (and deniers) of the Apollo 13 mission found the story compelling irregardless. The virality that this video gained is one of the proudest achievements of my career!
